lazy day goulash

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef 
  • 1 onion chopped 
  • 3 tsp minced garlic 
  • ½ c water 
  • 1/3 c olive oil 
  • ½ c beef broth 
  • 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce 
  • 1 (29 oz) cans diced tomatoes 
  • 3 bay leaves 
  • ½ T pepper 
  • 1 T Italian seasoning 
  • 1 T seasoned salt 
  • 3 c elbow macaroni 
  • 1 c Mozzarella cheese 
  • ½ c Cheddar cheese

Cooking:

  1. Brown ground beef with onion, garlic and olive oil.  Remove drippings. 
  2. Add beef broth, tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasoning, salt, pepper and bay leaves.  Stir and cover, turn heat down to low and simmer for 20 minutes.  
  3. Add elbow macaroni, stir and cover and let simmer for 25 minutes.  Remove bay leaves.  
  4. Add Cheddar cheese and stir.  Add Mozzarella cheese and stir before serving.
