2026 Director Elections
The Nebraska Beef Council is seeking candidates for the 2026 Nebraska Beef Council board of director elections. The due date for all candidate packets is June 15, 2026. Please see the information below or contact the NBC office regarding the election timeline and process.
2026 Election Districts:
District 2 - Cherry, Keya Paha, Brown, Rock, Grant, Hooker, Thomas, Blaine and Loup
District 4 - Boyd, Holt, Knox, Antelope, Wheeler and Boone
District 6 - Arthur, McPherson, Logan, Keith, Lincoln, Perkins, Chase, Hayes, Dundy and Hitchcock
District 8 - Seward, Lancaster, Otoe, Adams, Clay, Fillmore, Saline, Gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Webster, Nuckolls, Thayer, Jefferson, Pawnee and Richardson
2026 BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTION TIMELINE
February 1, 2026 Call for candidates in open districts
June 15, 2026 Candidate packets are due
August 1, 2026 Voters notified in districts with contested elections
Aug. 1 - Oct. 1, 2026 Precertification period completed by third party (postmarked by October 1, 2026)
Nov. 15-30, 2026 Voting ballots will be distributed to qualified voters (must be postmarked by November 30, 2026)
December 2026 Third Party Contractor counts and delivers certificate of election
December 2026 NBC Board of Directors canvass the results of the election(s) and vote to approve the election(s). New Directors announced.
January 2, 2027 New Director term begins
