2024 Director Elections
The Nebraska Beef Council is seeking candidates for the 2024 Nebraska Beef Council board of director elections. The due date for all candidate packets is June 15, 2024. Please see the information below regarding the election timeline and process.
2024 Election Districts:
District 1 - Banner, Box Butte, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Kimball, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan, Sioux
District 3 - Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, Wayne
District 5 - Buffalo, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Hall, Howard, Sherman, Valley
District 7 - Butler, Cass, Colfax, Dodge, Douglas, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Platte, Polk, Sarpy, Saunders, Washington, York
District 9 - Dawson, Franklin, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Harlan, Kearney, Phelps, Red Willow
2024 BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTION TIMELINE
August 1, 2024 Voters notified in districts with contested elections
Aug. 1 - Oct. 1, 2024 Precertification period completed by third party (must be postmarked by October 1, 2022)
Nov. 15-30, 2024 Voting period ballots will be mailed to qualified voters (ballots must be postmarked by November 30, 2022)
December 2024 Third Party Contractor counts and delivers certificate of election
December 2024 NBC Board of Directors canvass the results of the election(s) and vote to approve the election(s). New Directors announced.
January 2, 2025 New Director term begins
